ارتفعت حصيلة 12 انفجاراً في بغداد والموصل الإثنين10-8-2009 إلى 379 في يوم دامٍ عكس تدهوراً أمنياً هو الأشد منذ انسحاب القوات الأمريكية من المدن العراقية في نهاية يونيو/حزيران الماضي. وكان أعنف هذه الانفجارات وأكثرها دموية في قرية الخزنة شمال شرق الموصل مما أسفر عن مقتل 40 شخصاً وإصابة 200 آخرين بالاضافة الى انهيار 25 منزلاً

Death toll of the12 explosions in Baghdad and Mousil on Monday, Aug 10, has risen to 379. This bloody day echoed the worst security setback since US forces withdrawal from Iraqi cities the end of last June. The worst and bloodiest explosion took place in al-Khazna Village, north east of Mousil, killing 40, injuring 200 and destroying 25 houses

ان النجوم الضخمة التي تكونت في بداية تاريخ مجرة درب التبانة قد انهت مراحل تطورها الاساسية منذ عدة بلايين من السنين. مع اقتراب نهاية وجود هذه النجوم فإن عناصرا اثقل، كانت قد اندمجت من الهيدروجين اثر تفاعلات نووية، ربما قد فاضت و عادت الى الغاز و الغبار المتواجدان في الفراغ مابين النجوم. نتيجة لذلك، فإن نجوم الجيل اللاحق المتكونة من هذه المواد المخصبة تحتوي على كثافة نسبية من المعادن (العناصر الثقيلة)
