One day a highly-placed government officer got off the train and began to shout, “Porter! Porter!” He had a bag with him which would weigh only three or four seers. He looked very anxious when no porter came. “Who will carry the bag out of the station?” he thought and became somewhat restless. At that time a man came, stood before him and said, “Is this bag to be taken out of the station?” The government officer said, “Yes, how much, will you take for this?”

একদিন এক উচ্চপদস্থ রাজকর্মচারী রেলগাড়ী থেকে স্টেশনে নেমে “কুলি কুলি” বলে ডাকতে লাগলেন | সঙ্গে একটি ব্যাগ যার ওজন তিন চার সের হবে | কোনও কুলি না আসাতে তিনি খুব ব্যস্ত হয়ে পড়লেন | “স্টেশনের বাইরে কে ব্যাগটি নিয়ে যাবে” ভেবে বেশ চঞ্চল হয়ে উঠলেন | সেই সময় একটি লোক তাঁর সামনে এসে দাঁড়ালেন, বললেন, “মহাশয়, আপনার ব্যাগটি কি স্টেশনের বাইরে নিয়ে যেতে হবে?” রাজকর্মচারী বললেন, “হ্যাঁ, কত নেবে ?” ঐ ব্যক্তি কিছু না বলে ব্যাগটি হাতে নিয়ে নির্দিষ্ট স্থানে পৌঁছোলেন | রাজকর্মচারী আবার জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন, “কত দিতে হবে?
