The Brightness/Contrast dialog box is simple. Brightness slide bar is used for image brightness adjustment. An image will become brighter if the slide bar is moved to its right and become darker if moved to its left. Contrast slide bar is used to adjust contrast between different areas of an image. Moving the slide bar to its right will increase contrast between the bright area and the dark one of an image which will then become sharper. Conversely, the contrast will be reduced.
