1. Raise the vehicle until the tire clears the floor. Install safety stands under the vehicle.
2. Remove the wheel cover or hub cap. Remove the wheel lug nuts and the wheel. Remove the drum.
3. If the wheel does not come off easily, remove the rubber plug and insert a narrow screwdriver through brake shoe adjusting hole at the back side of brake backing plate, and disengage the adjusting lever from the adjusting screw.
