In order to cool and dehumidify the interior, the climate control system transfers heat from the passenger compartment to the refrigerant, which takes the heat outside the vehicle. As lukewarm and humid air passes over the fins in the evaporator, the air is cooled and the humidity is removed when it condenses on the fins. In order to warm up the interior, the engine coolant transfers heat to the passenger compartment through the heating core.
