Let´s begin with the most Basic chord type: triads. Triads are three note chords which consist of the 1st (root), 3rd, and 5th of a giveen scale, played together. If you were to play the notes in sequence, you´d be playing a triad arpegio. Staff 1 illustrates an A major scale tabbed in a commonly used fingering. Beneeath each note is a number which represents its “intervallic” name.

La tríada es un acorde de tres notas que está formado por una primera (o tónica), una tercera y una quinta de cualquier escala dada, tocadas al mismo tiempo. Attached to the bottom of the piston is a connecting rod, which leads, to a crankshaft, which leads, eventually, to the drive wheels of your car. As the piston and the connecting rod go up and down, they cause the crankshaft to turn. As shown in figure 4-4, this is pretty much the same motion you use to pedal a bike. Your knee goes up and down while your foot pedals round and round.
