Our Vision
We've been in this business for a while and we want to let freelance translators from around the world have
a seat at the table in the international marketplace. We envision a place where it's safe for both translators
and clients to do business across large distances and cultural divisions.
In an increasingly anonymous global marketplace, real accountability is often hard to come by.
We have worked hard to create tools that will bring people together without reservations or doubts because a
trusted third party (Translator's Corner) is looking out for the best interests of both parties.
Moreover, we have seen translators exploited by companies charging subscriptions for the hope of access
to real clients, only to discover that the advertised jobs were fabricated. We believe the only fair thing
to charge a translator for is a real connection with a client that results in money in the translator's pockets.
All the other promises are cheap and they should stay that way.
We also believe in search technology. We don't want your inbox cluttered with jobs, unless the client really
wants you. And we also don't want the client's inbox filled with bids that they must figure out how to compare
manually. We envision translators and their clients finding each other quickly and efficiently.
(Not only that, but because our technology knows who is searching, we can allow you to market
yourself to a variety of different clients, whether they are domestic or international, or even agencies).
We also envision a community that strengthens one another as they work together on projects.
Plans are already in place to develop new unique collaboration methods that will be implemented as
Translator's Corner matures.
