Mar-24-2008: New Search Algorithm!

We're proud to announce the latest update to our search algorithm. This single improvement has taken us over two months of experimenting and tweaking, but we believe it's going to be worth it.

Now search results are no longer ordered simply by their price, time or experience. All these factors take place, of course, but we also value many other things, like potential availability, quality of profile and past behaviour, among others. This means that if you have a better profile and consistently reply to clients quickly, you will rank better than someone that is a bit cheaper, but never answers to e-mails.

What this means to you, basically, is that now your profile and responsiveness matter much more than before. And for clients, this means more relevant results, and a much greater chance that they will receive quick replies.

For a full detail on how you can improve your ranking, please read our Guide to Improving your Search Ranking.

May-19-2007: New Feature: Status Reports!

After listening to several clients' requests, we have added a new feature to SecureTrans: Status Reports.
Now clients can request translators to keep them informed about the progress of the job a certain number of times, and all the translator has to do is upload a file with his work in progress at those points, letting the system automatically count the words and calculate their progress.
We hope both clients and translators will find this feature useful and, as always, welcome feedback and suggestions about it.

Mar-7-2007: Translator’s Corner is open for business!

SecureTrans is up and running and the payment platforms are in place so come in and find the perfect translator for the job you need to get done. Do business quickly and safely with our innovative tools.

Feb-11-2007: We have launched the site for Translators!

The site has now officially launched (we're out of beta), and we are gathering translator registrations. For now, Client functionalities (contacting translators and working with them) are disabled until we have a translator base that's big enough for the site to work, but we expect this to be soon enough, thanks to all the e-mail addresses we gathered during our Pre-Launch phase.
That means you don't need to keep ComConsole open for now, but make sure you fill in all the details in your profile (don't forget rates!), so that when we launch to clients (which will happen shortly) you are in a good position to get jobs.

As soon as we launch to clients, we will notify all registered translators, so they know they should keep ComConsole open, and can expect to start getting jobs.

As usual, we are eager to hear what you think of the site, your ideas, any problems or doubts you may have, etc. You are strongly encouraged to use our feedback form to tell us anything you want.

Jan-9-2007: We have launched our Beta test!

What is a Beta Test, you're asking?
Well, basically a Beta Test is the test phase of the site where we are inviting a few users (you're probably one of them) to try things out and see if anything breaks and let us know what you think of this development.
Not everything is working just yet, but the site should tell you when you've hit one of those things we're still working on.
So if the site doesn't say otherwise, feel free to use or read anything you find operational.

Oh, and don't forget to give us some feedback!
